Restriction Exemption Notice
Following the provincial update from the Alberta government, we have made the decision to implement the Restrictions Exemption Program as of Monday, September 20th for The Summit Restaurant and our Tournament Center. This ensures that all of our guests provide proof of vaccination status to dine in our facilities. As our Snack Shacks are considered take-out, this will not apply to them. Mandatory masking does still remain in place for all guests when inside, away from their seats.
This decision allows our facilities to remain open to their fullest and provide the best possible experience to our guests and continued employment for our staff in F&B.
This means, effective Monday, guests will have to provide proof of the following to dine with us inside or on our patio’s:
- Has proof of double vaccination (note that for a transitional period between September 20th and October 25, 2021, proof of a single dose would be considered acceptable as long as the dose was given two weeks or more before the time of service);
- Has documentation of a medical exemption; or
- Has proof of a recent (within the previous 72 hours) negative COVID-19 test (either PCR or Rapid Test). The test may not be from Alberta Health Services or Alberta Precision Laboratories.
- Those under 12 would not need to provide proof of immunization or a negative test to enter a participating business.
Guests who are unable to provide one of the above will not be able to dine with us inside or on our patios. Take-out will be happily provided.
The Summit Restaurant located in the clubhouse is your perfect spot for so many different occasions. One of the highlights of this special place is the Mt. Kidd and Mt. Lorette patios that feature some of the most incredible ambiance and mountain views of any patio in the world! Both patios are unique and spectacular spots that will serve as the backdrop for special memories that will last a lifetime! We are open for breakfast, lunch and dinner 7 days a week, rain or shine for the duration of our golf season. Whether you have come to golf or are just visiting the area, everyone is welcome to join our team at the Summit Restaurant and enjoy the incredibly warm and welcoming feel that they help to bring to this incredible setting. This season we are excited to announce to you the hiring of our new Executive Chef, David Harding. David is originally from Calgary and has worked with some great local restaurants and Chefs throughout the city. He describes his food as “approachable, yet refined”, which you will see throughout our menu. David has created many delicious menu items for you to try including an increased focus on our dinner menu this season. We can’t wait for you to experience his creativity and passion for all of the menu items that we know will only enhance your time and experience with us!
We are also excited to announce that our Director of Food and Beverage and Sommelier, Stephen Hamelin, has increased the offerings for you in our wine program this year. Our list will have a greater representation of old-world wines from key regions to ensure we have the perfect selection to complement your experience. As well, we will be increasing our draft beer selections to 4 unique offerings to help cover more options in the ever-growing local craft beer scene. We know you will approve!! And if you are a cocktail drinker, please don’t worry…we definitely didn’t forget about you! We will be adding more delicious creations to build on the popularity of our program last season.
